This splendid Persian Rug has been woven in one of the historical capitals of Iran and one of the oldest rug weaving centers in the world, the city of Tabriz. It is 100% hand woven. Wool represents the foundation of the rug while silk and wool the weaving materials used. It is classed as a small Persian Rug (3x5-5x8), its size being 150 x 200 (cm), 4’11 x 6’6 (ft). The outline of the rug resembles that of a dome (gonbad). An array of geometrical and floral motifs decorates the border. The rug is suitable for light and dark floors due to its soft blend of neutral colors, such as navy blue, light blue, brown, pale beige, soft orange, etc.
