Gonbad Royalty Wool Persian Rug

This superb Persian Rug has been entirely hand woven in Tabriz, one of the historical capitals of Iran and one of the oldest rug weaving centers in the world. The rug’s foundation was made out of wool while silk and wool were the weaving materials employed. It is classed as a small Persian Rug (3x5-5x8), its size being 150 x 200 (cm), 4’11 x 6’6 (ft). The pattern displayed is that of a dome (gonbad). The border’s design portrays a combination of geometrical and floral patterns. The rug presents a soft mixture of neutral colors, such as navy blue, light blue, brown, pale beige, soft orange, etc. which makes it suitable for light and dark floors.
