Maestro Nezam Kashani Afsari born in 1931 in an artistic family.
Father was a painter and a rug weaver, Farrukh Afssari his mother, a woman, was an important artist and weaver as well.. At the age of eight he started his first design by drawing the border of the rug. From the time they went to school and continued to paint and draw pictures. His work was so beautiful that at a really young age he was commissioned to weave a beautiful work of George VI King of England, who commissioned the picture of him that they did with skill and special beauty. So when I went to London, England, he was invited to be the honorary chair at the University, but because I was so young, that had more than 16 years, mother prevented.
His fame for his work of art has reached Tehran at the time and he was given the duty of weaving a master piece for the The Lion and Sun of the time(was one of the main emblems of Iran, and between 1846 and 1980 was an element in Iran's national flag)(the empire of the time).
In the year 1958 him and his wife were invited to the fine art exhibition in Brooksel which whom received a gold medal for her work of art.
On 1971, he was invited to metro politan museum in new York, to show the art of weaving rug.
After few years from the Iran government he was send to Moscow to give the picture of Lenin and his mother tableau rug which were Iranian gift to the Moscow and this was hanged at the Kremlin Castle. He received a medal of Lenin and was applauded.
He had his own workshop in Tabriz and his rug were very different in pattern.
